Mr. Rudolph Davis BA’84, received the Governor General’s Faithful and Meritorious Service Award on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Congratulations Mr. Rudolph Davis Esq!
Class of 1990
Jean Helms Mills BA’90 was awarded Professor Emerita by the Jyvaskyla School of Business and Economics in Finland. Jean Helms Mills from Canada is an internationally distinguished and decorated researcher of management. She has been a professor and lecturer at many universities and conferences, for example, in Europe, Australia and Canada.
In her research, Professor Helms Mills has focused on critical management studies, diversity in management, and the sociology of knowledge. She is co-editor of the journal Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management and a member of the editorial boards of various scholarly journals on management.
As a part-time professor at the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics (2012–14 and 2018–21), Professor Emerita Helms Mills has significantly contributed to international cooperation in teaching and research, especially as a mentor for doctoral students. Helms Mills has also cooperated closely with Finnish researchers in the field of critical management studies and several Finnish universities.

Craig MacMullin EMBA’96 has been awarded the Fellow CPA designation, the highest honour for the Canadian accounting profession, by CPA Nova Scotia. Craig is currently the President and CEO of CEED (Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development)

francesca ekwuyasi MA’16 has collaborated with author/chef/musician Roger Mooking on a new book, Curious Sounds. Roger Mooking is a Trinidadian-born, Canadian-raised talent who creates immersive experiences in the arts. francesca ekwuyasi is a writer whose debut novel, Butter Honey Pig Bread, has received wide acclaim. These two artists come together in Curious Sounds, a book of art, stories, and conversations illuminating their search for solace and perspective.
Nicholous Deal MBA'16 PhDM'22 is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business and Tourism at Mount Saint Vincent University and was awarded the Udayan Rege Best Dissertation Award by the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada in June. This award is given biannually for the best Canadian doctoral dissertation in the administrative sciences. Congratulations Nick!

Dr. Kristin S. Williams PhD’20, was appointed Director of the FC Manning School of Business at Acadia University and began her term in July of 2023.
Dr. Williams has 25 years of executive leadership experience in the non-profit and for-profit sectors, including serving as President & CEO of Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia (2013-21) and Executive Director of the Nova Scotia SPCA (2009-13). Prior to those roles, Kristin held marketing and public relations roles with Canada’s Wonderland and the Ontario SPCA. Following her PhD in Management at Saint Mary’s University, Kristin became the Historian in Residence with the Faculty of Management at Dalhousie University while also completing a Postdoc with the MITACS Accelerate Entrepreneur program. In 2021, Kristin joined Prudentia Institute: Youth Knowledge Exchange as Managing Director and Principal Researcher. Currently, she also holds a Visiting Researcher appointment at the University of Eastern Finland (Innovation Management).
